Announcing NALA’s return to The Music Yard on July 12th with Girls Room!
Hailing from the vibrant city of Miami, Nala got her start playing popular clubs and festivals where she developed a reputation as an impeccable tastemaker. Her knowledge of house, indie dance, electro, and breaks, as well as her ability to add live vocals have made her a standout performer. Her genre-blending capabilities established her “as one of Miami’s top female DJs and certainly an act making some serious strides on the circuit to keep an eye out for.”
While her performances were taking her to festivals like Coachella, Ultra, III Points, Electric Forest and Splash House, her production and songwriting began to build a reputation as a “creative newcomer making unique beats” with”a more eclectic and indie sound.” Not one to fit comfortably within a box, Nala’s diverse knowledge of music has led to her ability to sew the needle through multiple genres and create her own lane.
Her knowledge of house, indie dance, electro, and breaks, as well as her ability to add live vocals have made her a standout performer in the current field of house producers. In July 2022, Nala launched her own label, Mi Domina, a femme-dominant electronic label intent on merging punk rock aesthetics with underground dance music.
