Legendary Detroit icon Carl Craig joins us at The Music Yard on August 25th! Carl Craig is described as a creative visionary, an electronic music icon, an esteemed Grammy-nominated composer, a world-class DJ and an ambassador for his native Detroit. Tickets live at the link in bio!
Carl is an electronic music icon and creative visionary, whose career has spanned over 30 years. Being part of what’s known as Detroit Techno’s “second wave” of groundbreaking producers, Carl carved a unique path as an artist, entrepreneur and civic leader. Since beginning his career in 1989, Carl was guided by his tendency toward forward thinking and futurism. He’s experimented with his sound by recording under multiple aliases such as 69, BFC, Psyche, Paperclip People, Tres Demented. In 1991, he started his own record label, Planet-E Communications that has worked with legendary Detroit-based artists such as Kevin Saunderson, Moodyman, Kenny Larkin, and gives home to many Detroit-based artists today. Carl is also known for being an ambassador to Detroit and one of the founders of Detroit’s Movement Festival. He’s inspirational artist that has collaborated with some of the worlds top producers, as well as composers and jazz collectives.
