From Canada’s Western wilderness to the global underground, Simon Doty’s path into electronic music is anything but conventional. A former college basketball shooting guard turned finely tuned sound architect, Doty has spent years mastering his craft and ascending the international circuit.
Following the breakout success of his album Universal Language, Simon continues to evolve, pushing deeper into minimal, groove-driven club music through his own international radio show, Recess. His signature sound blends gritty analog synthesis, tough driving grooves, and refined musicality, earning the respect and support of industry heavyweights including Sasha, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Joris Voorn, Hernan Cattaneo, and Carl Cox.
Marquee performances at world-renowned venues such as Brooklyn Mirage, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Gorge Amphitheatre, Savaya Bali, and Fabric London underscore a defining run for the Canadian talent. With regular support from Pete Tong and Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1, Simon Doty’s rise is global.
